This Blog
This is more or less a personal blog that talks about how anyone who can write passably and who has passionate obsessions can start blogging for money…and of course, for fun.
Through these site, you’ll find how-to’s, tips, advice, lists, news and resources—sometimes paid, often free—on how to make money blogging as well as on how to write better for a better blog.
Whether you’re a beginner to the world of blogging or you’re an old hand, you’ll find something here to help you.
If you don’t think you know enough about something to write about, think again. I’ve seen blogs about lavender, TV soaps, housework (!), snakes, cross stitch, cheesecakes, crosswords, coffee, and anything and everything under the sun. And by the looks of it, they’re earning money…enough to indulge in it ad nauseaum, ad infinitum.
This Professional Blogger for Hire
I’m Leineriza, 40something, and I’ve been blogging for fun since 2000, when I encountered LiveJournal for the first time.
I have more than 15 years’ experience writing for both print and the web. My checkered career before that has also seen me as production assistant for TV, government clerk, transcriber, recruiter for overseas workers, fast food restaurant manager, and a top level executive assistant…among other things.
More recently, I’ve been earning my living as a professional blogger, ghostwriter and internet marketing Virtual Assistant. In any given day, I’m…
- setting up and customizing blogs—whether its WordPress, Blogger or other CMS
- writing copy for landing pages and websites
- optimizing copy and pages—on page or off;
- generating leads through email and article marketing
- marketing products on social sites like Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn (which I set up, too)
- interacting with other bloggers and internet marketers on forums
…and a gazillion other things that even now exhausts me just thinking about them. All with a single intent: to make money from the Internet—for me or my clients.
I don’t know everything about blogging and making money on the Internet but what I don’t know I’m smart enough to learn—from books, ebooks and white papers, podcasts, and other web experts.
At heart though, I’ll always be a beginner to blogging—always ready to learn something new about blogging for money…and quick to share these to others who may profit from it.
I’d like to say I take days off, too, but when you’re a blogger, anything that you do is stuff for future blog posts. On that note, my free time is spent…
- happily shooting people and stuff with my digital camera
- creative journaling
- scrapbooking
- growing vegetables in my backyard
- crocheting an afghan or shawl
- surfing the Net for odd news and interesting things
- reading books about writing better, blogging and internet marketing
- cross stitching my way through the Last Supper
- sightseeing with friends and family (I love to see new places)
- watching Asian TV dramas, especially Korean ones, and
- reading romance novels
My fears? Take your pick:
- Losing my wireless connection.
- My laptop dying on me.
- Lizards and snakes and anything reptilian. (Eew!)
Fun fact:
I am also a licensed secondary school teacher (specialization: business and marketing) and an ESL tutor, with special focus on creative writing.
